I shared some of the later teenage years with Patrick. I remember the kindness and understanding he extended to me at that time. He encouraged me to feel comfortable with myself, to sing, and even to make a short, homemade 8 mm. film in Trenholme Park (Montreal), a copy of which I still have today. Thank you, Patrick, for your loving support at a time when I most needed it.

I just learned today of Patrick's death. My condolences to Jim and the rest of Patrick's family.
I last ran into Patrick and Jim at the polling station last June. We had a wonderful conversation, and, as usual, found it hard to say goodbye. Patrick was always so kind. He was so talented at making connections between people he knew.
Jim, you are in my thoughts in the days ahead as you learn to live in a world without your beloved. Sending you much love.

I just learned today, March 4th 2019, of the death of my good friend Patrick Conlon. When he lived in Montreal many, many years ago we were regular neighbours, and he wrote 2 TV dramas for me in my Teleplay series--both of which were excellent and well-received by public and Press alike. I was also good friends with his dad, Ned Conlon-now long gone.
I never met you, Jim, although Patrick told me a lot about you, and can only imagine your grief and pray that one day you will be relieved of it.

I just heard about Patrick today.
Jim, please take this digital but strong loving hug from me for the loss of your wonderful man. One of a kind. You and he were so different and yet so right for each other.
My memories of him are mostly about laughter - our personal catch phrases, our mini routines we performed often while giggling and snorting into the phone and then laughed and laughed about oh how clever we were.

But he was also, for many many years a caring, supportive friend.

If there's any sort of memorial, please let me know

My heart is with Jim, Patrick and Jim were so close and full of love and respect for one another. I knew Patrick for more than the decade we worked together. He was such fun! Intelligent, witty, kind...and we laughed our heads off.
