WALTER RADZICK Obituary

WALTER RAYMOND RADZICK (1935-2005) On March 31, 2005 with his loving daughters Elizabeth and Jeannette at his side at Sunnybrook Hospital, Walter left us after a brave and tenacious 4 month battle with illness. He was sadly predeceased by the love of his life Margaret in October 2004. Walter was a much-loved brother-in-law to Susan and Earl Taylor, and a treasured `Uncle Walt' to Rebecca. Walter's humour, energy, generosity and friendship will be also be deeply missed by numerous friends and neighbours from his life in Havelock and Toronto. Walter was a former football athlete who played for North Toronto C.I., U of T and Toronto Balmy Beaches. Professionally he played for the Calgary Stampeders (1958 Rookie of the Year), the Toronto Argonauts and the Hamilton Tigercats. He was a teacher for over 25 years with the Toronto Board of Education and worked at Park Elementary School and the Juvenile Detention Centre in Toronto. His passions were his family, good food, music, nature, his cottage up north and trailer in Florida, politics, and most of all: a good bargain. He was a big man with a big heart whose determined spirit made an impression on all who met him. No ser vice by request. Cremation. A celebration of Walter 's life is planned for May 1 at the Granite Brewery & Restaurant, Toronto.
