David ROWE Obituary

DR. DAVID JOHN ROWE Dr. David John Rowe, beloved husband to Una Mary Rowe, dear sweet father to Mark Rowe (Eileen) and Amanda Rowe (Mike), and grandfather to Mike (Alexandra), Mathew, and Sam Rowe has sadly passed as of May 8, 2020, at the age of 84 from an aggressive cancer. Cherished memories are preserved in our hearts of his loving, kind, positive and playful spirit. An enormous legacy of world wide recognition and unquestionably one of the great Mathematical Physicists spanning the last 45 years. This humble and modest Nuclear Physicist recently published likely his most important work. He is unequivocally an intellectual giant and his keen intellect is only surpassed by the love and generosity shown to his family and friends. Love you forever Daddio and hope you are happily floating somewhere right now dreaming of mathematical equations.

Dear family of Prof. Rowe:
This is Francisco Perez Bernal, a Physics professor in University of Huelva (Spain). First time I met Prof. Rowe was in 2004 at a congress and since then I met him several times and it always impressed me his vast knowledge of Mathematical Physics, combined with humble generosity. He was one of the main speakers in a summer school we organized in Huelva in 2012 and he left a lasting excellent impression in organizers and students. I am sorry for your loss. STTL

Dear Una. Mark and Amanda and grandsons,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. David was the light and laughter in the room. His passion eternal. We were fellow birders and I recall he emailed me to help identify a mystery bird. I was charged with the difficult task of telling him it was a pigeon. We laughed. May his joyful curious spirit live on. I am sending you all my sincerest condolences and prayers.

Dear Una, Mark and Amanda, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear husband and father. David was a fellow birder and a light in every conversation. I remember him emailing me a bird he could not identify and I had the difficult task of telling him it was a pigeon. What a glorious sense of adventure and humor he had. I was lucky to have known David and I know how sorely he shall be missed. A life well loved and a life well lived. His passion was infectious. God Bless. You are in my prayers. Bucky
