JOHN GILLELAN It is with deep sorrow that we announce John's passing. He was the devoted husband to his beloved wife Joyce for over 59 years. The loving father of Tom (Christine), Robert (Pascale), Janet (Scott), James (Lynn), Anne (Felix) and Margaret (Ivan). A devoted grandfather to Kelly (Jeff), Rebecca (Jordan), John (Brooke), Calvin (Amanda), Tyler, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Peter, Katie, Lya, Vianne and Christina. Great-grandfather to Claire, Declan, Jack and Liam. Loving brother of Katherine Smith (Calvin). He was predeceased by his wife Joyce, sons Patrick and Peter, sister-in-law Betty Robson and daughter-in-law Pascale. John was a proper gentleman. Always honest and empathetic to the core. He retired at the age of 71 from BMO Nesbitt Burns as a Portfolio manager. He enjoyed helping others and took pride in giving sound conservative advice to his many clients. Deepest condolences to the Gillelan family. John, was known to me and our family as Johnson. He was the Best Man at my parents wedding and no doubt the best man at whatever he put his gentle soul towards.

John was a wonderful gentlemen, and a pleasure to talk to and will be missed by family, friends and loved ones. Greatly enjoyed the periodic meals at The Squire with John and my parents. God bless John and his family.
