Christopher McCubbin Obituary

Age 30, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Born June 7, 1978 in Joliet, Chris is a son of Leonard (special friend, Connie Forsythe) McCubbin, Jr. of Wilmington and Diana (Paul, Jr.) Klover of Braidwood. He was raised and educated in Wilmington and was a graduate of Wilmington of HS (1997). Chris attended Olivet Nazarene University and was employed as an Operating Engineer with Local 150 for the past nine years. On June 21, 2003, Chris married Jillian Tarran in St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, and together they resided in Wilmington. In addition to Local 150 Union of Operating Engineers, Chris was a member of both the Wilmington and Braidwood Recreation Clubs. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan and his interests included Golf and fitness, but most of all his family.

Survivors include his wife, Jill; daughter, Mya Anne; son, Cade Christopher; his parents; his maternal and paternal grandparents; one brother, Leonard (Margie) of Joliet; twin sisters, Bridget Swartz of Morris and Brandi (Timothy) Blair of Diamond; two brothers-in-law, Scott (Enjolique Bender) Tarran of Joliet and Patrick Tarran of Wilmington; his mother and father-in-law, Bonnie and Skip Tarran; and grandmother-in-law, Norma Tarran, all of Wilmington; and nieces and nephews; Mackenzie, and Noah Blair, Dylan and Nolan Swartz, Austin McCubbin and Gari Linn and Billy. Chris was a friend to everyone and too many to mention.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 10, 2008 between the hours of 3PM and 7PM at St. Rose Catholic Church, 624 S. Kankakee St. in Wilmington. Funeral services will then follow on Monday August 11th in the church at 10AM. Deacon Don Dyer will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington.

Honorary pallbearer will be his brother Lenny McCubbin and acting pallbearers will be: Patrick Tarran, Scott Tarran, Timothy Blair, Bryan Bianchetta, Brady Wilkins, Mike Deninger, Kyle Meents, Damion Anderson and Josh Tenn.
