Sherry Debra DuBose Obituary
Sherry Debra DuBose
Sherry Debra DuBose, 63, of Norwalk, CT entered into eternal rest on Thursday August 23, 2018 at Norwalk Hospital. Sherry was born to the late Joseph and Margaret Reiter on May 18, 1955, in New York City. During her late teenage years she moved to Lakewood Arrowhead, CA. Where she graduated from Rim of The World High School, in 1973. Sherry returned to New York and reunited with the love of her life and soul mate, the late Robert Vincent DuBose, aka "Bobby". They eloped in January of 1974, moved to Norwalk, CT and began their journey of life together. Sherry was a very free spirit, caring, and loving. She was a devoted wife and a fun-loving mother and dedicated grandmother, who always gave all of her time and heart. She nourished their bellies, their minds, and their hearts – with her home-cooked meals, her wisdom, and her love. She instilled in her family an appreciation of the outdoors and respect for all living creatures. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many. Sherry enjoyed swimming, gardening, crocheting, and music but most of all she loved her family. Of the many things she taught her family, she was very proud to say she taught all of her children and all of her grandchild to swim. Managing six little boys in a pool is no easy task, yet she made it look effortless. This is just one example of her boundless energy and the strong sense of duty she felt for her family. Sherry's gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten. The warmth of her UNCONDITIONAL love will continue to comfort her family.
Sherry leaves to cherish her memories, daughters Christine and Denise DuBose, son Jesse DuBose, three grandchildren Tylon DuBose, Damon Gilbert and Brian Gilbert all of Norwalk, CT. Brothers Sherman Reiter of Arizona and Phillip Reiter of Hawaii. Nieces Kathy Woody, Kamille Woody, Kassandra Woody, Kiesha Woody and sister-in-law Julia Woody of New York. Nephew Erik Reiter of Arizona and Niece Chandra Reiter of Seattle Washington. Along with a host of great nieces, nephews, extended family and friends from all walks of life.
Sherry was also predeceased by two of her precious grandchildren DeAndre' and Tyler Gilbert.
