Binnie Birstein Obituary
Binnie Birstein, age 65 of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at her home. Binnie was born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Samuel Joseph and Sylva Birstein. Binnie was an accomplished artist, and was affiliated with Firing Circuits Artists' Studios of Norwalk. Binnie is survived by her devoted children, Benjamin Birstein Yarmis and Samantha Jane Yarmis. Binnie was predeceased by her cherished brother, David Birstein, in 1987. A funeral service will take place on Thursday (TODAY), May 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT, with interment following at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus, NJ. Shiva will be observed at the Birstein Residence in Norwalk. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation.

Binnie and I became members of Silvermine Arts Center at the same time. This was sort of a bond when we saw each other at openings or volunteered together. I always looked forward to her warmth and wit. She had a very dry sense of humor. She was on my mind lately so I am deeply sad about her passing.
