Carol Russell
Spencer - Carol Russell of Spencer passed suddenly on June 10, 2018. She was born September 25th, 1950 in Camden, NJ. The daughter of Jack Russell and Anna Russell (Mailahn). She was the beautiful mother of six children Robert, Jr. and Theresa Blaasch all of Spencer, Wayne and Valinda Blaasch, Chesapeake, VA, Gerald and Laurie Blaasch, Horseheads, NY, Dawn Blaasch, Amanda Russell (Becken) of Spencer, NY and Samantha Becken of Elmira, NY., her eleven grandchildren, Chris, Ketrina, Justin,Elizabeth, Christiana, Miranda, Zachary, Arianna, Emily, Nathan, Anthony and Carol's great grandchild Nayleigh. Carol was employed at the Spencer Shurfine (Big M) that was like her second family for 13 years as the night office clerk. Carol was a kind peaceful soul and loved by so many, forever in our hearts. In honor of Carol's life a gathering will take place at the Spencer Fire Hall 41 N. Main Street, Spencer, NY 14883 on Saturday, June 23 rd between 4 to 9 pm.

Amanda, I'm so sad for you and your family, and for all of us who were blessed to know your Mom. I'll miss visiting with her at the store. When I fell there and broke my arms the day before last Thanksgiving, she was so sweet and took good care of me.

My Wife and I worked with Carol when she was at Borg Warner and saw her often at the Big M. Her and I always picked on each other. She was a wonderful woman and will be truly missed. Rest in Peace Carol.
