One of Rod's greatest achievements was winning the Cortland County Music Park award contest with the country band, Silverado. The Silverado band also fronted many big name bands, including Charlie Daniels, Allison Kraus and Sweethearts of the Rodeo. Rod was also known as an Audio Production Engineer running sound for many festivals including the Busy Bird Bluegrass Festivals.
