Glenn E. Marsh Obituary
Marsh, Glenn E.

Glenn E. Marsh, 58, of Odessa, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 after succumbing to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Montour Falls on June 14, 1957, the son of Claude and Jean (Ziegler) Marsh. He graduated from Odessa-Montour High School with the Class of 1975 and later studied agriculture at Morrisville State College. Glenn had a love of agriculture and a hard work ethic that were forged at a very young age by working on the Rounds family farm in Odessa. He also had a love for carpentry and building that he developed from his father at a young age. Glenn came from a long line of hardworking family members and always had a strong willingness to help others in the community. He loved his family, enjoyed boating, live music, playing cards and lived life to the fullest. He felt most at peace when he was surrounded by nature. He is survived by his three sons, Jared (Susie) Marsh, Wade (Ellen) Marsh, and Oscar Stoothoff (Amanda Smith); his parents, Claude and Jean Marsh; siblings, Karen (Gary) Merrill, Kenneth Marsh, Diane (Thomas) Eberhardt, and David (Carol)Marsh; three grandchildren, Nolan, Livia and Deagan; and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Gary Marsh. A celebration of Glenn's life will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 6:30 pm at the Horseheads American Legion Post 442, 71 Old Ithaca Rd., Horseheads. The family has requested that those attending the service donate a photographic memory of Glenn for his family to have as a keepsake. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Glenn's memory to the Dutton S. Peterson Memorial Library, 106 1st St., Odessa, NY 14869, or a library of one's choice, or the Odessa Fire Department, 300 E. Main St., Odessa, NY 14869. Arrangements have been entrusted to Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, Montour Falls.
