Judith Andrews Obituary

Judith "Judie" Johanson Andrews, resident of Dunnellon, Florida peacefully left this life to continue her journey with the Lord on November 8, 2010.
Judie was born on August 17, 1942 to Irene "Jo" and Eugene "Bud" Johanson, in Ithaca, NY. She lived with her beloved Aunt Edie, Uncle Eddie and Cousin Joanne Prouty. She attended Candor Central as a youngster. Judie became an "Air Force Brat", of which she was Very Proud, when she went to live with her Mother and Step Father Robert "Mac" McCord. She attended many schools in various states across the country while learning and loving the Air Force Life. Judie did return to Candor, NY where she attended High School, played the saxophone and graduated with high honors at the age of 16 with the class of 1959 from Candor Central High. Judie remained in the area where she married Donald Moore and began a loving family with three children. She was first and foremost family oriented. Judie always enjoyed being with family and friends. She had a true talent and passion for sewing, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, cooking and baking. Judie worked at Tioga State Bank for more 13 years. Judie never went without a good book or crossword puzzle. Judie's heart was made of gold. Everyone that met her liked her. Everyone that knew her loved her. If she had one flaw, it was not recognizing the strength, wit and courage that were so much a part of her. Judie is survived by her husband Dr. Arthur Andrews. Her three children Steven (Tina) Moore, Donna (Michael) Ellison, Cara (Rodney) Goodrich, her 7 Grandchildren, Ryan Moore, Christopher (Laura) Moore & her 1 Great Grandchild, Christopher Anthony Moore, Samantha Brown, Jerrod Ellison, Chelsea, Maxwell and Spencer Goodrich. Judie's Mother Irene McCord, Brothers Mike and Brian McCord, Sister Alicia Johanson Cevera, Brother Rick Appleton and Cousin Joanne Prouty also survive her. Judie was preceded in death by her Grand Mother Mildred Staubach, Father Eugene Johanson, Step Mother Patricia Johanson, Brother Douglas Johanson, Aunt Edie Prouty and Uncle Eddie Prouty, Stepfather Robert McCord and her Dear Best Friend Barbara Ciappa. The family will appreciate any direct donations to The Legacy House Hospice, 9505 S.W. 110th St. Ocala, FL 34481, in lieu of any flowers. Private Family Memorial.
