Lewis Marshall Sowell, Jr.
Lewis Marshall Sowell, Jr., age 82 of Clarksville, TN, "saw the Lord and knows his redeemer lives" (Job 19:25-27) on Friday May 10, 2013. He passed away at Grace Healthcare in Clarksville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Hilldale Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Sowell and Rev. Terry Brown, officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
Visistation will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home and Tuesday from 9 until the hour of service at the church. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
Lewis was born October 14, 1930 in Guthrie, KY. He is the son of the late Lewis Marshall Sowell, Sr. and Cora Kelly Sowell. He served in the U.S. Army having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Hilldale Baptist Church. He was also retired from CEMC.
Survivors include his wife, Josie Sowell of Clarksville; sons; Gordon (Grace) Long of Plano, TX and Richard (Stephanie) Sowell of Choctaw, OK; a daughter, Valerie (Greg) Reitz of Edmond, OK; a niece raised as a sister, Vickie Ladd of Clarksville; fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
