Juanita Joiner Martin
Juanita Joiner Martin, age 91 of Clarksville, died September 3, 2013 at Signature Heath Care, Clarksville, Tennessee.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 1:00 p.m., at Anglin Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Martin and Rev. John Lida officiating. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery, Big Rock, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Thursday September 5, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Juanita was born February 18, 1922 in Parker Town, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Emmitt Sandford "Bud" Joiner and Martha Fannie "Mattie" Pryor Joiner. Juanita married James Boyd "Cap" Martin of Big Rock, Tennessee on July 4, 1947. She was a member of Big Rock Baptist Church prior to moving her membership to First Baptist Church of Clarksville. She belonged to Lib Lida's Sunday school class and retired from CEMC in Clarksville.
Juanita is preceded in death by her husband, sisters, Chrystelle Joiner Landrum, Birdie Joiner Parker, Esta Joiner Huffman, Irene Joiner Cherry, and brothers, Harold Joiner, John Willard Joiner, and Lando Joiner. She is survived by nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express appreciation to the staff at Dogwood Bend Assisted Living Facility, Signature Health Care, Ascera Care Hospice, companions, neighbors, and friends.
The family asks that remembrances be made to: Good Samaritan Ministries, 346 Union Street, Clarksville, Tennessee 37040.

My parents, Laurin and Zoie Waller, were such good friends with Juanita and Cap. I have wonderful memories of going to their house and was talking about her not two weeks ago. Please know that she will be missed.
