Catherine Green

Catherine Mai Green, age 76, formerly of Cunningham, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Heartland Health Care, Plymouth, MI.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Black officiating. Burial will follow in the Marion United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, and 11 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Catherine was born November 25, 1936 in Dickson County, TN, daughter of the late Carney Allen Greene and Laura Bell Schmittou Greene. She was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert (J.R.) Green; her children, Phillip Ray Baggett and Phyllis Kay Baggett, and siblings, Annie Hornberger, Dottie Hodges, Mattie Perry, Allen Greene and Burney Greene.

Survivors include her son, Barry Keith Baggett of Livonia, MI; grandchildren, Jason Baggett of Clarksville and Jeremy and Jamie Baggett, both of Livonia, MI; and siblings, Warren, Wade and Ronnie Greene, and Sara Yarbrough.

Nephews will serve as Pallbearers.

Saying good bye to Catherine is one of the hardest things I have had to do in a very long time. Catherine was my aunt plus a very dear friend. She has always been like a sister that that I never had.My sympathy to all the family especially her son Barry. R.I.P.Catherine. This light will forever burn.
