Linda Susan was born in Alexandria, VA on September 20 1949 to Roger and Catherine Johnson. She was the fourth of eight children. She grew up in Laurel, MD and graduated from the Community College of Baltimore with an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1979. She worked her whole life as a pediatric registered nurse, first in Maryland and then in New Hampshire. In 2004, she moved to Tennessee because of health reasons, to be near her sister.

Linda loved to meet new people, all holidays, and to volunteer. In Cheatham County, she volunteered for Clean Sweep and the Food Commodities distribution year after year. She walked her mile of Mosley Ferry Road, where she lived, and picked up trash and litter until her walking deteriorated in 2012.

In Clarksville, she volunteered at Dogwood Bend Assisted Living. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center in Clarksville and in Ashland City. Bunko was a favorite game. She was an avid stamp and coin collector. She was a member of St. Martha's Catholic Church in Ashland City and she volunteered for their events as well. She loved her cat, Miss Fannie, who invited herself into Linda's house 7 years ago.

She is survived by her sisters, Constance Johnson, Theresa Maultsby, Ruth Spindler and Catherine Williams; her brother, Patrick Johnson; her sister-in-law, Karen Stell; and many nieces, and nephews.

She was a lifelong diabetic, and developed Parkinson's Disease in 2012, and she died from complications of these conditions. She was cremated and will reside on her sister's farm in the family memorial garde,n which was tended many times by Linda.
