LAKELAND - James H. Murphy, age 84, passed away June 11, 2018, at L.R.M.C.
Mr. Murphy was born in Coker Creek, TN. on August 19, 1933 to W.B. & Virginia (Tate) Murphy. He moved to Lakeland from Bartow 15 years ago. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy (Korea), A & P store manager and a member of Willow Oak Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy Murphy, sons Bill (Stephanie) Murphy, Louis (Dottie) Murphy, Jimmie (Andrea) Purcell, daughters Jody (Robert) Bryant, Kathy (Craig) Bowen, Patti Jo (Phillip) O'Cain & Vanan (Leon) Hampton, 20 grandchildren & 40 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Seigler Funeral Home-Chapel, 1300 Hwy. 60 E., Mulberry, Fl. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M.
Condolences may be sent to the family @ seiglerfuneralhome.net. Arrangements have been entrusted to Seigler Funeral Home, Mulberry, Fl.

Bless you all. He was my moms boss at A&P back in the day. He always had a smile on his face. He and Nancy were at my moms 70th birthday party, it meant so much to her.
