WINTER HAVEN - Isabel Z. Rumbold, 90, formerly of Windsor Locks, CT, widow of James 'Jim' W. Rumbold (2009), entered into eternal peace Sunday, March 4, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital.
She is survived by a son Robert Rumbold and his wife Cathy of Simsbury; two grandchildren, Diane Liddington and her husband Eric of Horsham, PA and Julie Rumbold of Simsbury; a great grandson, Sean Liddington; a brother, Ernest Zambo and his wife Mary of Pottsville, PA, a sister-in-law, Marjorie Ganz of Atlanta, GA; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Born in Ringtown, PA, Isabel was the daughter of the late Frank and Madeline (Horne) Zambo. She was raised in PA where she graduated from Pottsville High School and then received a degree from Temple University School of Nursing. She was employed as a Registered Nurse in PA and NY prior to moving to Windsor Locks where she and her husband resided for over 30 years. There she and Jim co-owned Waverly Mechanical Inc. for many years before retiring to Winter Haven, FL. Isabel truly loved music. She sang with several choral groups and played the piano for personal enjoyment. She was a former choir member of the Second Baptist Church in Suffield and the Hope Presbyterian Church in FL as well as with choral groups such as the Cindy Singers and the Sassy Singers. Isabel was supportive of others in need, so In lieu of flowers, donations in Isabel's memory may be made to CFF, 101 Centerpoint Drive Suite 107, Middletown, CT 06457 or to the Second Baptist Church, 100 N Main St. Suffield, CT, 06078.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 2-4 pm at Windsor Locks Funeral home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 12 at 11:30 am at the Second Baptist Church, 100 N Main St. Suffield, CT followed by burial at Grove Cemetery in Windsor Locks.
