HENRY, 83
LAKELAND - William "Bill" Henry, 83, died Monday, August 27, 2007. Born in Moberly Mo. on February 1, 1924. Bill came to Lakeland area 19 years ago. He was a Major League Baseball Pitcher and played with Reds, Red Sox, Cubs and Giants during his 14 year career. After baseball he went into the moving business. He was a member of the Sand Piper Golf Club and the North Lakeland Presbyterian Church and a WWII Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by: Debbie Henry (2nd wife) Hamilton Henry (son) Christine Henry (daughter). He is survived by: Elizabeth Jean Henry (wife), sons; David Cole & Greg Hunter, daughters; Debbie Lee & Kim Kochley, a cousin Bill Nicholson (cousin), numerous grand and great grand children.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11am at the North Lakeland Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers donations: North Lakeland Presbyterian Church; 6725 N. Socrum Loop Road; Lakeland, FL 33809.

Mr. Henry,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
