Art,You were Arturo and Krazy Krazy to me. We met in Morocco. And you rode that unbroke stallion that no one else could/would ride. Our kinship remained thru life one way or the other. And now the earth is supposed to get along without you. Not fair, without your gentle fun nature. And that one of a kind only you laugh. I hope to see you on the other side where the running trails never end and the ponies have all your joy and spirit. Always love . your Pal Kat

Art’s love for horses led to positively impacting my life. I will be forever grateful. The brief story...In 1991 a mutual friend and colleague at CableData, Perry Edwards, approached me about joining him - and a horse - to compete in a sport called Ride & Tie. Perry knew me as a runner and past equestrian. I’d never heard of this sport but was game. Art supplied Breeze, a magnificent thoroughbred retired from the track. We trained and learned together as a team and 6 months later competed in Taylorsville, CA at the Ride & Tie World Championship; 2 men and a horse. We had so much fun and success we competed several more times. It was pure joy and Art became part of our expanding R&T family. That experience led me to try trail running which I’ve subsequently maintained for over thirty years. It became a fundamental part of my life, changing me in so many positive ways and introducing me to endless valued friend all over the world. All thanks to this blessed man. May Art ride off into the sunset of this life to join his loved ones who have preceded him and remain amongst the flora and fauna he so loved. Thank you, Art for all you did fir me and so many others. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ujd7xcu0o5tisfy/Art%20and%201991%20Ride%20%26%20Tie.jpg?dl=0
