Agueda Santiago Obituary
McALLEN - Agueda Santiago, 74, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 in McAllen, TX. She was born to Juan Barrera and Encarnacion Lopez on July 15, 1934 inSan Benito, TX.
She is preceded in death by herparents, Juan and Encarnacion Barrera; her sister, Angelita Vargas and son-in-law, Eloy Sanchez.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Juan Cotts of Pflugerville and Angelo (Hope) Santiago, JR of California; her daughters, Blanca Estela (Juan) Cantu of Mission, Blanca Alicia (Jesus) Cantu of Palmview and Maggie († Eloy) Sanchez of Edinburg. Also left to cherish her memory are her seven sisters, Antonia Miranda of Alton, Juanita (Juan) Zavala of Pharr, Fela Moran of McAllen, Maria Salinas of Houston, Guadalupe (Lupe) Enriquez of Edinburg, Emma Rosas of Houston and Cuca (Jose) Montes of Palmview; along with seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation service will be held today,Friday, May 29, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Ceballos Funeral Home in McAllen, TX. A Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Ceballos Funeral Home in McAllen, TX. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission, TX. All funeral arrangements are entrusted to Ceballos Funeral Home in McAllen, Texas.

Hey Grandma, I miss you a lot. I´ve been thinking about you a lot lately too and Dad. I hope you guys are together. I miss the weekends at your house and pancakes on Saturdays. I miss how you would make me feel like everything was OK no matter what I even miss you, getting mad at me and calling me Christina Maria I really need you and dad right now. I´m going through so much and I know you understand what I´m talking about and I know you´re with me if you and Dad can just give me a sign that you´re here and then everything`s gonna be OK please. I miss you every day and I think about you all the time. My kids would´ve been so lucky to have you and my dad in their lives you would´ve been amazing grandparents and a great grandma. Lexi would´ve been your little Muñeca. You would´ve been tu Gordo. I love you a lot, I´m sorry for not being there more. I love you and I miss you every day.

Dear Cousins,
May the Lord give you comfort and peace. How I love my Tia, what I will remember her by is her facial expressions....I was not much involved with her life, but she is my moms sister..I will cherish the good times that we did have with her....Seeing you all grow-up and having children of your own...must of been an awesome feeling for her...I'm sure that she will look down from the skies and help us all...Keep her in your hearts, I know I will.......lOVE YOU ALL..
