MATIAS PRUNEDA McALLEN - Matias Pruneda, 22, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Brook Army Medical Center of San Antonio. Matias was born February 20, 1991 in McAllen, Texas. He is the son of Juan Jose and Maria Ana (De Los Santos) Pruneda. He is survived by his parents, Juan Jose and mother Maria Ana (De Los Santos) Pruneda; two brothers, Juan Jose Pruneda, Jr. of McAllen and Lucio J. Pruneda of McAllen; one sister, Criselda D. Pruneda of McAllen and maternal grandmother, Brijida De Los Santos Gonzalez. Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, January 3, 2014 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Mass of Christian burial will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, January 4, 2014 at San Juan Diego Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
