Things won't be the same without Jean. She was such a character! You never had to wonder where you stood with her but she loved my cousin and had a truly good heart. She will be missed.

Aunt Jean. What a lady. I remember when I was 15 and just learning to drive. Jean had a old Model A automobile. She let me drive it and bet me I could not shift the gear with out grinding them. I did. She still owes me a milkshake. She also could not wait for me to arrive at family gatherings so she could tell me her latest off color joke. They were always good. Janet and Jean were at a gun show in Des Moines one time. We went to see them. As we were watching, both of them were carrying a large amount of money. They were not young ladies at the time. I ask Jean if she was uncomfortable carrying that much cash. She said as she pull her gun from her back pocket “ Oh Ben, they might take it, but they won’t keep it”.

We enjoyed Jeans company at the Judges Bench for early coffee, breakfast and conversation. Sorry for her loss, thankful to have had her aquantace.
