He preceded her in death on February 3, 2004. Adonna worked in the Field Services Department at CMU prior to having children and raising her family. She loved her flower gardens, feeding birds, watching musicals, and day trips to beautiful Western Michigan. Adonna enjoyed nature walks at the Chippewa Watershed Conservancy, in which she was very active. She had a passion for baking and cooking for her family, and always provided treats for her friends and family at Christmas. Adonna adored her family and loved their time together at the family cottage at Halls Lake that her father built. She enjoyed watching a good game of bean bags at the lake. Adonna was a member of First United Methodist Church, and was part of the Mary Martha Circle. Adonna is survived by her children: Kathy (Alan) Johns, Steve (Susan) Kennedy, and Dave (Lalita) Kennedy, all of Mt. Pleasant, Dan (Marla) Kennedy of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA; grandchildren, Ashley Jarrett, Ryan Johns, Travis (Katie) Johns, Melissa Tilmann, Joey Kennedy, and her new granddaughter Aura Kennedy that she was so eager to meet in a few short weeks; great-grandchildren Madison, Aiden, Nevaeh, Jeremiah, and Carter; very dear nephew Jim (Peg) Gatrell of Midland; her furry companions Dolly, Cissy, Bean and Little Gray. Adonna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Emery Freeman, Jr., and sister Dorothy Gatrell.
