Dora, Dr. Sara M.; age 64; passed away Friday, May 1, 2015. Sara, along with her twin sister, Martha, was born February 18, 1951 to Frank and Ilah (Brunsvold) Myers in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She graduated from Central Michigan University and received her doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. On July 14, 1979 she married David Dora in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Sara was a member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church where she has served in many capacities. Dr. Dora was employed as an emergency physician at Hackley and North Ottawa Community Hospitals, was board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Care. She was active in the community; volunteering for numerous church, school activities and at Harbor Hospice. She enjoyed family and friends, traveling, working, cooking, reading history and walking. Sara is survived by her husband of 35 years, David; two children, Brian David Dora of Chicago, IL and Deanna Sara Dora of Muskegon; her brother, William D. Myers of Traverse City; twin sister, Martha Robb of Mt. Pleasant, sister, Meredee Conyers of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Katie Myers; and nieces and nephews, Tawny and Mike Goodale, JoAnna Conyers, Garrett and Lynae Conyers, David and Jack Myers, Mark and Tara Dora, Tom and Brooke Dora; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Kathy Dora. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Monday, May 11, 2015 at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 937 W. Norton Ave. with Rev. Wally Coots officiating.
