Adolph Joseph Strada Obituary
Adolph Joseph Strada peacefully passed away at his home on Friday, February 1, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Sandra Clark Strada. Father of Stacey Strada Taylor (late Matthew), Tony Strada (Ashley Daray) and Shelly Strada (Roger Miles). Devoted grandfather of Daniel and Adam Taylor, and Bryce, Ayden and Scarlett (arriving March 2019) Strada. Son of the late Anthony Strada and Agnes Jesclard Strada. Also survived by other relatives and many friends. Mr. Strada retired from JPRD in 2003 after 13 years. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine. He previously was a real estate agent; supervisor for NORD; and was an umpire and basketball referee for many years. He was a tough, but fair coach to generations of kids. He was often called Bulldog and rolled his tongue, a signal he was not happy. He will always be respected, loved and remembered by all who knew him. Aged 84 years; born and raised in the Irish Channel, New Orleans, Louisiana and a current resident of Old Jefferson, Louisiana. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, Louisiana on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening February 6, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday February 7, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services on Thursday. Interment will be in Metairie Cemetery. Online guestbook is available at www.leitzeaganfuneralhome.com. Please share any memories you may have with the family.
