He received a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Loyola University in New Orleans, LA. He was a member of Ephesians Baptist Church. Husband of Rodesia Armstrong-Porter and the late Sarah Smith. Son of the late Wiley and Evelyn Jones-Porter. Father of Eric, Andrew, Antonio, Cardell, Andrel and the late Tamica Porter-Singleton. Brother of Fred (Bessie), Forest, Audrey, Sam (Gloria), and Hazel and the late Wiley III, Jerry, Sr., Betty, Carl and Ernest. Brother-in-law of Earnestine Davis and Pearley Hayes-Porter. Special godchild, Dominiqui Franklin. Also survived by 27 grandchildren, 27 great-grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by 4 grandparents. A native of Woodville, MS. and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also Pastor, Officers and Members of Ephesians B.C. and Shiloh #2 B.C. are invited to attend the Visitation on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Ephesians Baptist Church, 4020 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 am. Interment Southeast Louisiana Veteran Cemetery-Slidell, LA.
