Norma Behan Heurtin, our beautiful mother, entered into heaven on Friday, December 16, 2016 at the age of 94 with her family by her side. She was born on September 13, 1922 in New Orleans, LA. She was active in many organizations; Miriam Chapter #17, Order of the Eastern Stars, Daughters of the Nile, and Daraf Ladies and was a long–time member of St. Augustine's Episcopal Church. She fulfilled her dream of going to Ireland at the age of 87. She loved riding on floats in Mardi Gras parades and Cajun dancing where she met her beloved husband, Daniel Heurtin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 14 years. Together they made their home in Metairie, LA. She is survived by five loving children, E. Charles Bilbe (Diane), Lynne Bilbe de Blois (Chuck), Cecelia Raymond Fugetta (Terry), Francine Raymond Foglesong (Dan), Kenneth Raymond. She was loved by 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John William Behan and Alberta Veron Behan; two sisters, Kathleen Wild and Dolores Baker; brother, John Behan; son, Dennis John Bilbe. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, starting at 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1:00 PM.
