Passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, July 21, 2014, age 76. Beloved husband of Dianne McCoy Pellegrini for 53 years. Father of Anthony M. Pellegrini, Angela Pellegrini Sperling and Leslie Pellegrini Uson (Philippe W. Uson). Preceded in death by his beloved sister Antoinette Pellegrini Anderson, his parents Maria Pace Pellegrini and Louis A. Pellegrini, and brother-in-law Reginald J. McCoy. Brother-in-law of Eugene Anderson and Majorie Butler (Randall Butler). Grandfather of Rachael Anne Sperling, Jared Michael Sperling, Casey Marie Pellegrini, Brandon Michael Pellegrini, Zachary Taylor Uson and Gabrielle Renee' Uson. Godfather of Kenneth Joseph Anderson, Elizabeth Ann Liebert, Michael Angelo Cuezze, and Debra Pace Delucca and uncle of Brett Randall Butler. Special friends Julie Dewitt and Ernest Feigler. Also survived by many cousins. A graduate of Jesuit High School class of 1955, Louisiana State University New Orleans and of LSU Baton Rouge. A retired banker with 49 years of service with Whitney National Bank, charter member of the Swinging Set Golf Club, charter member of the Italian American Marching Club, and an active member of the Abita Springs Golf Club, served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. Inducted into the hall of fame of the Greater New Orleans Athletic Club on August 26, 1994. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at the Chapel of the North American Martyrs, 4133 Banks St., on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., celebrated by Father Joseph Kraft and Deacon Patrick Bresler. Visitation on Sunday at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and in Church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Christ Episcopal School, 80 Christwood Blvd., Covington, La 70433.
