Albert Milton Dugué Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the age of 67. Albert graduated from John McDonough High School in 1968. He served in the U.S. Air Force, maintaining the aircraft communications systems, and was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He then attended Delgado College and worked at Bell South as an Electronic Technician for 36 years until he retired in 2006. He was a man of great faith and attended Greater Mount Calvary Church where he was active in the media ministry, prayer group, supported the technology, and touched every ministry in the church through his photography. He was also a devoted member of the Men of Valor Prayer Group and religiously delivered dinners for the Annual Alice Brown Thanksgiving Dinner. His all-time favorite career and hobby was photography. He had a passion for capturing everyone's most precious memories and was known by many as "The Camera Man." He also took the time to coach and mentor others in photography. Several of his other hobbies included bowling, taking road trips, reading, and going on Cruises! Al loved to drive all over the city to visit and pray with the sick, hospitalized, and a host of family and friends. He was a computer guru who enjoyed fixing everyone's computers and teaching them how to use it, "whether they wanted to learn or not!" And if you were ever feeling up or down, you were sure to get a call from Al and be greeted with one of his classic greetings, "HO HO HO Happy Monday," "Helloooo," or "What it BEEZ," just to name a few. Al was the beloved husband of Saundra Bush Dugué; Son of the late Albert M. Dugué Sr. and Josephine Clark Dugué; Father of Taira Dugué (Reuben) Bell and Albert M. (Katrice) Dugué III; Brother of Niris Dugué (Kenneth) Steib, Libby Dugué, Gerard (Sheila) Dugué, Kelvin Dugué, Virgil (Brenda) Dugué, Wayne (Mary Joyce) Dugué, Wade (Ellen) Dugué, Edward and Elwood Dugué and the late Josie Dugué Lain; Grandfather of Leah, Reuben Jr. and Isaiah Bell, Albert IV and Mia Dugué, Monique Forest and Tyron Smith. Son-in-law of Sterling and Cleotha Bush. Brother-in-law of Karen (Dwight) Woods, Gwendolyn Leonard, Kathy Martin, Alanda (Rosebud) Triggs, C. Arnold Lain, Emelda Dugué and LeJeune Dugué: Godfather of Kanesha Jones, Jervis Smith, Drew Anderson and William Joseph Jr. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, in laws, cousins and other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Greater Mount Calvary Church, Beacon Light of New Orleans and all neighboring churches, employees of Bell South and AT&T are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Greater Mount Calvary Church, 1600 Westwood Dr., Marrero, La. on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10:00 am. So sorry to hear about Albert and my thoughts and prayers go out to the Dugue Family. I grew up in Desire with the Dugues, went to St. Phillip Elementary School and Church together. Very fund memories back in those days. I will never forget when I first saw him up close and personal when he took my sister Edna to her prom. I was star strucked at how big and handsome he was all dressed up in his tuxedo. Every time I saw him after that I would just stare thinking about that time. I knew practically all of the family very well especially my great and dear friend Virgil, his brother whom I am so grateful that he keeps in touch. May God give the family comfort during this difficult time. Bless You All.

Much Prayer and Condolences to the Dugue' Family. I know what God word says, and I know that Brother Albert is in the best place he could possibly be...but my heart is heavy. Talk about a person who brightened the darkest of days with his kind spirit and "Helloooo." He will be dearly missed here on earth, but we know that one day We shall All meet again in that Wonderful place. Take your rest Brother Albert. Rest in peace. And I know you're up there in heaven taking lots of pictures :)

There is no other like him for he was an original. He will be sorely missed for the sunshine he brought with his presence and when he met someone for the first time they parted as friends. He was a truly good friend.

I was very saddened to hear about this. I worked with Al at the Aurora office for quite a few years. He was a great teacher and mentor, and was even a father figure to me when I had none. I appreciated his kindness and wisdom, and I still miss our little trips to Ms. Hyster's for some BBQ.
