Raoul Joseph Vives Jr., age 69 years, passed away August 12, 2015 in New Orleans, LA. Beloved husband of Lesslie Lehman Vives for 38 years. Preceded in death by parents father Raul Joseph Vives Sr. and mother Agnes Falgout Vives. Raoul father of Brian Vives and Sharon Vives Dupuy, wife of Darrin Dupuy and Stephanie Vives Mellgren, wife of Michael Mellgren, grandchildren Jade Cosse, Jaime Cosse, Joshua Vives and Remy Mellgren, brother of Charles Vicari and the late John Vicari. He was a native of New Orleans and resident of Marrero. Graduated Francis T. Nicholls High School. He was a respected employee at the Monteleone Hotel for 50 years and made many longtime friends. He enjoyed telling jokes and stories about the French Quarter and Monteleone to family, friends and guests of the hotel. He was an avid LSU and Saints fan. Survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana, 700 Edwards Ave., New Orleans, LA 70123.
