Frances L. Creech Ortner
SANDUSKY: Frances L. Creech Ortner, 98, of Sandusky, died Tuesday afternoon, March 19, 2013 at the Parkvue Healthcare Center. She was born January 1, 1915, to Harry E. and Emma Pritchard in Lima, Ohio.
Frances was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Sandusky, a 70 year member of the Althea Chapter No. 438, Order of Eastern Stars, and the Singara Caldron, No. 60.
She is survived by two children: Nancy Balsizer of Clyde and Robert Creech of Bellevue; six grandchildren: Lewis Balsizer of Tampa, FL., William (Judy) Balsizer of Simpsonville, SC., Roger (Becky) Balsizer of Clyde, Ellen Bowlin of Clearwater, FL., Cheryl (Albert) SanGregory of Bellevue and Deborah (Michael) Willis of Bellevue; seven great-grandchildren: Cody, Cole and Amelia Balsizer, Carson Bowlin, Bradley and Emily Willis and Mitchell SanGregory; two sisters: Marian McClain of Ellenton, FL and Mildred (Richard) Meffley of Lima, OH., four step-grandchildren, seven step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: Gordon Creech and Donald Ortner; two sisters: Evelyn Creech and Lucille Creech; daughter-in-law: Nina Creech; and son-in-law: James Balsizer.
Friends may call Saturday, March 23, 2013 for 10:30 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. The Rev. Robert R. Bottoms will officiate. Burial will be in Bellevue City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 265 Jackson Street, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 or to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
Her family would like to thank the staff of Parkvue Healthcare Center and Mary James and the staff of Stein Hospice for their great care and love that was given to Frances. Condolences may be shared with the family at pfeilfuneralhome.com.
