Liberty Township - Joseph Paul Lynch, 73, of Liberty Township, died at 6:30 P.M. on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Joe was born March 19, 1945 in Tiffin, Ohio, to Perry and Beatrice (Eckert) Lynch. He married Margaret "Peg" Walter on July 23, 1970 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church.

Joe is survived by his wife, Peg; four daughters, Christine (Kimberly) Spencer of Galion, Charlene (Michael) Nighswander of Elmore, Melissa (Jason) Roy of Alabama and Tracie (Brian) Eakin of Tiffin; two brothers, John (Jeanette) Lynch of Tiffin and Jim (Joyce) Lynch of Florida; ten grandchildren, Cody (Julia) Kidwell, Kelsey Kidwell, Mackenzie and Jordan Nighswander, Bryan, Aiden and Ben Roy, Jackson Sebetto and Gillian and Grady Eakin; one great-grandchild, Kinsley Kidwell.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Joe was a 1963 graduate of Bettsville High School. He served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany from 1965 to 1967. Joe retired from Honeywell in 2006 and was a member of the American Legion, Moose, Sportsman's Alliance, Pheasants Forever and SS Patrick & Andrew Catholic Church. Joe loved to golf, fish, hunt and farm. He was most proud of his four girls and grandchildren. Joe loved to work with his brother, John to take care of their family and the family homestead. Joe was the rock of his family.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 SS Patrick & Andrew Catholic Church, St. Andrew Chapel, Liberty Twp. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the United Veterans Council.

Friends may visit with the family from 2-4:00 P.M. and 6-8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
