Thomas W. Lozier, Sr.
Thomas W. Lozier, Sr., 71 of rural Green Springs, died at his home on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, after failing health.
Tom was born in Fremont on August 2, 1949.
He was a 1967 graduate of Clyde High School and had been a millwright prior to his retirement at BASIC.
Tom liked NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt and local spring car racing. Deer hunting was one of his hobbies, along with gardening and cooking. However, his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren were the highlight of his life.
On October 18, 1966, he married Kathy Stacy. She, along with their five children; Thomas W. Jr. (Jodi Witt) Lozier; Jason (Lynn Ludwig) Lozier; David (Amy) Lozier all of Clyde; Jeremy (Lindsey) Lozier of Ostrander and Tesla Lozier (Jamil Abdoo) of Fremont survive. Fourteen grandchildren: Tyler; Trevor: Dalton: Karlee; Alora; Larissa; Devon; Haley; Makaylin; Ryan; William; Elliott; Delaney and Kenley as well as eleven great grandchildren also survive. Thee sisters, Joan (Milfred) Howerton of Bellevue; Sue (Larry) Turner of Dundee, Michigan; Jane (Dave) Foraker of Monroe, Michigan and one brother, Steve (Nancy) Arnold of Whitehouse survive Tom as well.
Mr. Lozier was preceded in death by his parents. Esther (Lowe) Lozier Arnold McGrady and Ralph Lozier. Also step fathers, Kenny Arnold and Robert McGrady. One brother, David Arnold is deceased.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The family requests that attendees wear racing shirts or sport shirts.
Memorials may be made to Green Springs Baseball or American Lung Association.
