Susan Phillips Obituary
Michelle was born May 25, 1965, in Hardin County to Michael Elliott Speck and Hilda Sue Rogers Speck.
Michelle was a faithful member of Severns Valley Baptist Church and gave her heart to Jesus Christ at the age of 9. She was a graduate of North Hardin High School, Hanover College and attended Ball State University. She was a former employee with Draper Inc., Florida Freshwater Frontier and Hardin County Schools. Michelle enjoyed painting, music, reading, flowers, jigsaw puzzles, the beach, traveling, sports, her dog, Trixie, and treasured connections with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her mother; her sister, Angela Speck Wilcox; two nephews, Tyler Wilcox and Landon and Sarah Thompson Wilcox; a niece, Cianna Wilcox; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and faithful friends.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 22, in the multi purpose room of Severns Valley Baptist Church in Elizabethtown. Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the Severns Valley Baptist Church Building Fund.

I want to say that Michelle and Mrs. Speck are some of the nicest and sharing people my family and I have ever met. Just a small example of their kindness made my little girl very happy. Thanks for the necklace. The world will definitely miss such a wonderful person. Our prayers go out to you and your family.

It's been years since I last saw Michelle, the summer we did Lil Abner in Youth Theatre but this news still caught me by surprise and saddened me.
