Susan Day Hoyt
It is with the deepest of sorrows that the family of Susan Day Hoyt, 26, announces her passing on Thursday, July 4, 2013 in West Monroe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church of Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery. Father Mitchell Guidry will be officiating the services.
A gifted artist and writer, Susan was a vivacious young woman with a bright smile and beautiful spirit; she was quick with a kind word and her sweet disposition was absolutely contagious. She will be deeply mourned by her devoted parents: Nanette (Nancy) Ludeau of Ville Platte and Allen and Mary Jo Hoyt of Cheneyville. Her memory will most certainly be cherished by her siblings: Terry Hoyt of Lake Hughes, CA, Andrew Hoyt of Cheneyville, Matthew Nugent of Cheneyville, Kasey Cagle and her husband, Josh of West Monroe, Claire LeMoine of Ocean Springs, CA. and Bonnie Nugent Gremillion and her husband, Blake of Pineville. She also leaves behind several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. Susan will be fondly remembered by all whom were lucky enough to have crossed paths with her during her all too short journey.
Susan was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School of Ville Platte and the University of Louisiana in Monroe. She resided in Monroe where she shared her home with the loves of her life, Tommy Sanson and his son, Aidan.
She now joins in Heaven, her grandparents: J. L. and Rosemary Ludeau and Wilbur "Bill" and Geraldine "Jerry" Roy Hoyt; they surely await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church beginning at 12:00 P.M. Sunday, July 7, 2013 and will continue until the time of the service.

Susan was one of the most genuine people I ever had the pleasure of meeting. She smiled and loved with all her heart. Her light touched everyone who met her - no matter how brief the encounter. Her absence is a terrible loss for us all. My heart will ache eternally for those closest to her.

Susan,
You were a delightful young lady to be around. I enjoyed all the classes we shared at ULM as English majors. Every time I listen to Daft Punk on the radio I will always think of you. Love you so much sweet girl. And to the family, I wish you comfort and healing in this difficult time.
