Dixie, a retired Telephone Engineer and community service advocate, actively volunteered her time and energy working with CASA, Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, and in many area Community Theatres. She also enjoyed singing karaoke, performing in commercials, and watching B & W movies or "gray" movies as her nieces called them. Dixie also enjoyed making people laugh. Her humorous take on everyday life always left her listeners in stitches.
The Mitchell Family requests that, in lieu of flowers, please consider making a small donation in Honor of Dixie's Memory to one of her favorite charities: CASA, Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, or your local church. And please say a prayer for all the members of our Armed Forces. They deserve it.
