Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Poe Emfinger, 74, of Newellton will be 1:00 pm Friday June 28, 2013 at Christian Fellowship Church, Winnsboro with Rev. George Ferrington and Rev. Gene Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the family Cemetery, Newellton under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Thursday June 27, 2013 at the church.

Mrs. Emfinger was born July 10, 1938 to Bill and Bessie Poe and passed from this life on June 26, 2013 at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Buddy Emfinger and two sons-in law: John David Butler and Jackie Ray Graham.

Mrs. Emfinger was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was employed 25 years by Tensas Animal Hospital in Newellton as a Veterinarian Assistant and dog groomer with many faithful clients. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church in Winnsboro since it first begin in 1983. Mrs. Emfinger was a church mother and intercessor for many family and friends. She will be missed greatly by everyone that knew her.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are her two daughters Bess Graham of Newellton; Susan Grissom of Vicksburg, MS; four grandchildren Elise Jones and husband Mark of Newellton; Beau Butler of New Rhodes, LA; Derrick Grissom of New Rhodes, LA; Syd Bowen and husband Jason of Newellton; five great-grandchildren: Buddy Butler, MaKayla Bowen, Marley Jones, Jack Hunter Bowen and Rylee Steward; one brother Billy Poe and wife Dee of Baton Rouge, LA; a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Danny Emfinger, Jr., Mark Emfinger, Neal Emfinger, Jr., Will Emfinger, Greg McVay, Steve Miller, Brandon Poe and Jason Poe.

Honorary pallbearers will be Edwin Britt, Mark Grissom, Ray Jennings and Mike Woods.
