Bloechl, Bernice Ann

Bernice Ann Bloechl, 82, of Dubuque, IA, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Oak Park Place in Dubuque.

Friends may greet the family from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3860 Asbury Rd., Dubuque. Private Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, IA

Bernice was born June 7, 1930 in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of Herman and Anna (Selenka) Robl. She graduated from Oshkosh Senior High School in 1948, and she married Erwin Bloechl on February 26, 1949 in Oshkosh, WI. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2004.

Bernice was employed as Agency Cashier at Equitable of Iowa from 1964 to 1970, as Executive Secretary at Apple River Chemical Company from 1966 to 1970, as Personnel Secretary at Flexsteel Industries from 1970 to 1971, and as Administrative Secretary at CyCare Systems Inc. from 1972 to 1992.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Barbara (Nick) Horn, of East Dubuque, IL, Georgia (Les) Johns, of Potosi, WI, Charles (Christine) Bloechl, of Rockford, IL, Julia (Kevin) Kriebs, of West Branch, Iowa, and Martha (Steve "Gomer") Smith, of Dubuque; her grandchildren, Kathryn (Gregory) Von Rox, Margaret (Todd) Kowalski, Jessica (Maurice) Trepanier, Sara (Courtney) Holmes, Jamie (Amber) Smith, Jaclyn (Pat Lynch) Kriebs, Emily (Henry III) Yach, Mollie Smith, Natalie (Joel) Johnson, Jodi (David) Annis, Jeffrey (Holly) Johns, Karin (Tony) Madsen, and Thomas Verschelde; her great-grandchildren, Zoe Von Rox, Tavian Schuster, Noah Trepanier, Zane Von Rox, William Kowalski, Jude Johnson, Cody Kowalski, Lucas Trepanier, Reilly Johnson, Henry Yach IV, Maurice Trepanier III, Ryleigh Kirk, Eddie Johnson, Abigail Yach, Tripp Johnson, Oliver Trepanier, Kayleigh Smith, Levi Johns, Cooper Smith, Addison Smith, Gracella Yach, Leona Annis, Clancy Trepanier, Julien Trepanier, Addaley Johns, and Jackson "Franklin" Holmes; her sisters in law, Judith Butt and Eileen Robl, both of FL; her very special friends, Kelley, Andie, Alaina, Bridget, and Riley Donovan; her lifetime friend, Phyllis Rothe of Wautoma, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughters, Jennifer Johns and Rachel Schuster; her brothers, Eugene, Norman, Edward, and Clifford Robl; and her sisters, Margaret Wolf, Mary Jane Harra, and Dorothy Jacobs.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Dubuque
