Sonntag, Reinhold "Ron'
Reinhold "Ron" Sonntag, 57, of Oshkosh, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013, at home with his loving wife at his side. Ron was born in Salsburg, Austria on October 27, 1955, and came to the United States at the age of 2 with his parents, Joseph and Maria Sonntag. The family settled in Chicago, where he lived until his adult life. On May 27, 1995, he married Mary G. Stein at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Oshkosh. He served in the U.S. Army Special Forces during the Vietnam War. Ron was a photographer and owned and operated Sonntag Photography.
He is survived by and his memory will be cherished by his wife, Mary of Oshkosh; a son, Joseph (Sarah) Tretter, of Palantine, Indiana; his mother-in-law, Elaine Stein and brothers-in-law, Peter (Carol) Stein and Robert (Janet) Stein. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends along with his faithful companion dog, Sasha. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank Dr. Berchard and his staff; Dr. Masson and R.N. Susan and also special thanks to the Aurora Visiting Nurses. Arrangements were entrusted to the:

I am so sorry to hear of Ron's passing-so hoping he would recover and get better! Took our wedding pictures and I always teased him that my daughter's wedding was only in 25 or so years yet!! Needed to take those pictures too! Mary you are in our prayers.
