Doro, Evelyn Cecelia
Evelyn Cecelia Doro, age 89, of Princeton passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Berlin Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 13, 1923 in the town of Rushford, a daughter of Peter and Mary (Koehler) Berlowski. Evelyn married Arden "Corky" Doro on April 7, 1945 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Berlin. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton and the Rosary Society of the church. Evelyn was an avid bowler and she enjoyed feeding her birds, squirrels and dogs. With 10 children, life was very hectic, but Evelyn and Arden would always manage to spend Saturday evenings together. Her family was a very important part of her life.
Mrs. Doro is survived by 3 daughters, Agnes Grimm of Menomonee Falls, Janet (Ray) Ristau of Redgranite, Sandy (Peter) Baures of Fox Lake; 5 sons, Peter (Svetlana) Doro of Mays Landing, NJ, Robert (Karan) Doro of Princeton, Paul Doro of Princeton, Anthony (Chris) Doro of Princeton, Eugene (Carrie) Doro of Baraboo; 21 grandchildren, Jennifer, Michelle, Laura, Jason, Josh, Sherri, Eric, Beth, Rebecca, Kevin, Kate, Thomas, Jeremy, Aaron, Brian, Melissa, Tony, Brittany, Tim, Brad, Samantha; 4 great grandchildren, Katie, Jack, Natalie, Evelyn; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Mary Berlowski; husband, Arden Doro; son, Father Michael Doro; daughter, Rita Doro; sister, Genevieve Smoody.
A visitation for will take place on Sunday, February 24, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m., at the Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home, 303 W. Harvard St. in Princeton. A Mass of Christian Burial for Evelyn Cecelia Doro will take place on Monday, February 25, at 10:30 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton with Father Dale Grubba, Msgr. Douglas Dushack, and Father Tom Gillespie conducting the service. Burial will follow the service at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Princeton.
