Franks, Margaret E.
Margaret Weisshahn-Manske-Franks entered Heaven's gates on February 22, 2013. She was born in Langlade County, WI on January 17, 1920 to Fritz and Esther Weisshahn.
A consummate mother and homemaker, Margaret was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. After her retirement from Winnebago Mental Health Institute she enjoyed traveling, baking, knitting and playing cards.
Margaret had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Oshkosh, Wisconsin until she moved to Arizona in 1988, and then joined Mountain View Lutheran Church in Apache Junction, Arizona.
Margaret is survived by her son Fredrick (Margaret) Manske of Peoria, AZ; daughters Barbara (William) Osheim of Ripon, WI; and Arlene Rasmussen of Appleton, WI., and step-daughter Kay Franks of Eagle River, WI She is also survived by grandchildren Paul Manske, Jr. of DePere , WI; Brian (Kerry) Manske of Rhinelander, WI; Lori Manske of Sarasota, FL; Jason (Elsa) Manske of Germantown, WI; Nicole (Paul) Trochinski of Ripon, WI; Heather (fiancé Steve Anderson) Osheim of Fond du Lac, WI; Danielle (Brian) Shira of Germantown, WI; and Jeffrey, Kevin and Renee Schwoch of Eagle River, WI. She loved her great-grandchildren—Sydney, Zackery and Abby Jo Manske; Jordan Manske; Jayden and Rayna Trochinski; and Ryann, Donovan and Kaelyn Shira. She is also survived by her sister Eunice (Arly) Doell of Greenville, WI, sister-in-law Gloria Weisshahn of Appleton, WI and many nieces & nephews. She will also be missed by her favorite friend Mischief. Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband William E. Franks, son PFC Paul E. Manske, son-in-law Douglas Rasmussen, twin sister Mildred (Victor) Luedtke, brothers Richard (Ruth) Weisshahn and Clifford Weisshahn, and sisters Henrietta (Conrad) Olson and Edna (Donald) Leiby.
Funeral Services will be held on March 7 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 370 Bowen Street, Oshkosh, WI, visitation 9 am to 11 am, with services at 11 a.m., interment at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial service will be held at Mountain View Lutheran Church, 2122 S. Goldfield Rd., Apache Junction, AZ, on March 14 at 11 a.m.
