Ellis, Constance "Connie"

Constance L. Ellis "Connie", age 82, of Omro, died peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family on Monday evening, March 3, 2014. Connie was born January 7, 1932, in Oak Park, IL, the daughter of Chauncey Hamilton and Margaret Elenore (Eier) Keeber. She married Reinher Seuffer on February 14, 1953; and later married David Ellis on June 26, 1971. Connie attended Mercy Medical School of Nursing and also attended two years at the University of Oshkosh. She worked as a registered nurse in a number of areas of nursing before retiring in 2003. She enjoyed listening to classical music, playing piano, counted cross stitch, High School football, her shelties, playing cribbage and sheephead. Connie was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and was very active in church doing Evangelism, teaching Catechism and Sunday School and also served on the Church Board. She also was active in the Omro Kiwanis for 11 years; serving as President and also serving as Lieutenant Governor of Division 13, WIUM Kiwanis for 3 years.

Connie is loved and will be missed by her children, Robert (Sybille) Seuffer of Germany, Kathryn Savastano of Germany, Susan (Ralph) Heasty of Oshkosh, William (Peggy) Seuffer of Omro, Victoria Seuffer of Germany, Nial (Jessica) Ellis of Oshkosh; 20 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Brown of Kentucky, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, David in 1992.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Grace Lutheran Church, 720 Jackson Ave, Omro, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. Richard Bartholomew officiating.

The family would like to thank the members of Grace Lutheran Church in Omro, Affinity Hospice and all her doctors for the love and support shown to Connie and the entire family.
