Barbara Resop

Berlin - Barbara Ann Resop, age 83, of Berlin, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Patriot Place of Berlin after a courageous battle with colon cancer.

She was born October 13, 1934, the daughter of Roland and Alma (Malchetske) Muskavitch.

Barbara married the love of her life, Alvin Resop on July 16, 1949 at St. Michael Catholic Church, which is now All Saints Catholic Parish, and was a faithful member. They celebrated 50 years of marriage before his death in 2000.

She helped out on the Resop family farm which is now Mascoutin Golf Course. She then worked at Michael's Mink Ranch, Berlin's Dime Store and raised their four children, Tom, Wayne, Gloria, and Sharon.

Barbara lived by the Three F's, Faith, Family and Friends, without them you have nothing. She was loved by everyone that knew her and even through her battle with cancer, she kept her sense of humor to the end.

She is survived by her son, Wayne (Carla) Resop; daughter, Gloria (Leroy) Larson; son-in-law, Conrad Wilson (friend Rachel); daughter-in-law, Wendy (David) Belter; grandchildren, Troy (Theresa) Resop of Ripon, Amanda (Chad) Lisowe of Ripon, Ashley (Andrew) McGuire of Jackson, Austin (Alyssa) Resop of Iowa, Stephanie (Grant) Gorski of Berlin, and Matthew Larson of Tennessee, Casey (Katie) Kroll of River Falls, and Kevin (Naomi) Resop of Berlin. She is further survived by a sister, Lucille of Texas; brother-in-law, Ray Fay of Green Lake; great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, cousins and numerous friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin; brother, Norman; son, Tom; daughter, Sharon Wilson; granddaughter, Jennifer Larson; and grandson, Corey Larson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at All Saints Catholic Parish of Berlin at 11:00 a.m. with Father David Greenfield officiating.

Family and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin from 8:30-10:30 a.m.

Burial will follow at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery of Berlin, all are invited back to the Parish hall for a luncheon.
