Doris Kramer Obituary
Doris Kramer

Menominee, Mich - Doris A. Kramer 91, Menominee, Michigan, passed away peacefully Tuesday June 5, 2018, at her son and daughter-in-law's home in Stratford, Wisconsin. She was born to the late Jesse and Alma Mason on May 14, 1927, in Oshkosh.

Doris married Carroll "Shorty" Kramer November 26, 1948 in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death November 29, 2004. Doris enjoyed teaching tap, ballet, acrobatics and tumbling to youth and ballroom dancing to adults. For years she worked with the Kiwanis club choreographing their yearly "Kiwanis Capers" productions. Doris's greatest enjoyment came with her young dancers visiting area nursing homes, special community events, and visits to the Iron Mountain Veterans Hospital. She enjoyed playing any card game, especially cribbage, fishing with family and friends on the Green Bay, feeding her hummingbirds, and playing the "Mystic Eyes" slot machine at the Island Resort and Casino. Her contributions via "Mystic Eyes" helped Island Resort and Casino fund half the construction costs of their 1998 expansion project. Doris was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Marinette.

Doris is survived by her children: Dennis (Debra) Kramer and Linda Millard; sister-inlaw: Cleo Smoot; grandchildren: Kristi (Ben) Kubs, Jessica Kramer (Richard Kenny), Erin Millard and Maureen Millard; great-grandchildren: Hannah, Jacob, and Brooklyn Kubs; nieces and nephews: Brad (Barb) Williams, Pat (Cliff) Schommer, Cindy Mason, Lindy (Dennis) Norkofski, David Mason, Gene (Dot) Mason and Betty Weidemann; great nieces and nephews; and special friends: Don Clewley of Pembine, Katie and Jerry Berzinski and family of Marinette and Carol Nelson of Marshfield. She was preceded in death by her sister Helen Williams; brothers: Kenneth, Harold (Dorothy) and Elwyn "Buster" Mason; nephew: Mike Mason.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 502 W. McMillan St., Marshfield, Wisconsin with Pastor Peter Ruggles officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 1:00PM until the time of service.

In Lieu of Flowers a memorial has been established.
