Laurie Strebe Obituary
Laurie Strebe

Oshkosh - Laurie M. Strebe, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 6, 2018. She was born to the late Hillard and Patricia (Monaghan) Strebe on May 5, 1963 in Appleton, WI. Laurie graduated from Appleton East High School in 1981, where she met her long-time boyfriend, Tim. Together they welcomed a daughter, Hailey, in 1991. Laurie was a compassionate, driven and fun-loving mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend.

Laurie was a dental assistant for more than 20 years until she decided to go back to school for dental hygiene. She was currently a dental hygienist at Hallquist Dental in Oshkosh. Passionate about providing dental care to those in need, Laurie went on several mission trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Looking forward and so excited, she had her fifth trip planned for January 2019. She also enjoyed spending time with her dog Ella, dog-sitting her grand-puppy Sammy, as well as supporting Donald Driver charity events and photographing the beautiful flower garden at her work. What Laurie cherished most was spending time with her daughter Hailey. They could laugh until they cried and had an unbreakable bond. The two were each other's best friends, and they will always love each other so much.

Laurie is survived by her daughter, Hailey (Justin) Hetzel; long-time boyfriend, Tim Marks; and siblings, Steve Strebe, Leeann Johnson, and Grant Strebe. She is further survived by her nieces, nephews, and coworkers who she worked closely with on the mission trips.

A Memorial service for Laurie will be held at St. Raphael's the Archangel Parish in Oshkosh on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 3:30PM. Father Tom Long will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 1PM until the time of service. A burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to provide for dental mission trips and a local orphanage in Hinche, Haiti. Laurie would truly appreciate giving to the people that need it most. Donations can be made on the website

We will always carry your memory in our hearts Mom; we love you to Heaven and back. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
