Sharon L. Troxell Obituary
Sharon L. Troxell

Oshkosh - Sharon L. Troxell (Eberhart) passed away at home at the age of 71 on June 5, 2018 after a valiant battle with esophageal cancer. Sharon was born on May 27, 1947 in Oshkosh to Edward and Venita Eberhart (Arthurs). Sharon grew up on the Southside of Oshkosh and earned the nickname "Louie" as a child from her many hijinks and rough and tumble ways. She attended Lourdes Academy and graduated from Fox Valley Technical College as an LPN in 1974. She waited until graduation to join James R. Troxell Jr. in marriage on August 31, 1974. During her nursing career she cared for others at Theda Clark in Neenah, Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, and ended her career as an agency staff nurse caring for others in multiple facilities before her retirement. Sharon had a way of making the ordinary fun, having a flair for quick wit, and sarcasm. She was someone always on the go, often helping family, friends, and neighbors whenever needed. She enjoyed instructing Fit For Life in the 1980's, fishing, and gambling, often taking "gamby" runs with her husband and close friends Sue Jungwirth and Barb Johnson. In recent years her grandson Carter was the light of her life. She gladly gave her time to care for him throughout his life, and took any opportunity to spoil her "Carty". Sharon's family was her primary concern at the time of diagnosis. Sharon was cared for lovingly at home by her husband James Troxell Jr, daughter Angela Troxell, son James Troxell lll, and his girlfriend Lisa Conn. Her determined spirit and quick wit remained until the end.

Sharon is survived by her husband James R. Troxell Jr, daughter Angela L. Troxell (Nathan Phillips), grandson Carter Phillips, son James R. Troxell lll (Lisa Conn), niece and close friend Sue Jungwirth, close friend Barb Johnson, siblings Ned Eberhart, Marvin Eberhart, Tom Eberhart (Joyce), Bonnie Steiner, and Art Eberhart (Jan). She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Venita Eberhart, siblings Valerie Barwell, Betty Lyness (Harry), Pat Leib (Tom), Kate Arthurs, Jim Eberhart, Dennis Eberhardt, and many others who are in our heart's but too numerous to name.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Sharon on July 1, 2018 from 11 am to 4 pm at South Park in the pavilion with food and beverages provided. Friends and family are welcome to join in remembering Sharon.

Special thanks to Wichmann-Fargo funeral home for their care and compassion, and also to all of the medical staff at Froedert Hospital for their expert care and treatment during Sharon's illness.

If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.
