Oshkosh - Valios M. Williams, age 100, departed this life on September 9, 2018 at Creek View South at Evergreen Retirement Community. She was born on May 23, 1918 in New London, WI to Frank J. and Lillian (Dengel) Wagner. Valois was raised in New London and attended Most Precious Blood Catholic Church and School. She graduated from Washington High School and attended Oshkosh Business College. Valois was employed at Wisconsin Axle Company where she met John E. Williams. They were married on October 20, 1941 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London. After their marriage, the couple made their home in the Oshkosh area. They enjoyed numerous interesting foreign trips, especially driving through Wales and finding John's relatives. Valois belonged to several organizations including Oshkosh Catholic Women, St. Mary's Christian Mothers, St, Peter Aquinas, Oshkosh Serra Club and the Twentieth Century Club. She was an avid bridge player. In addition to several bookkeeping positions she served as assistant to the secretary of the Winnebago County Fair Association for 25 years.

Left to cherish her memory are godsons; Robert Spurr of Rochester, NY and Peter Wettstein of Fond du Lac, WI. John's grand nephews; Adam Littig of CA and Evan Littig of Washington DC. Cousins also survive and Valois treasured their friendship. Valois was grateful for her neighbors and care givers, Steve and Carol Reigh. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband John on October 4, 1986.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Valois on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 11 am in Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Marys Catholic Church, (corner of Monroe and Merritt Streets) in Oshkosh. A time of visitation will be held at the church from 10:30 am until the time of Mass. Burial will be next to John in Most Precious Blood Catholic Cemetery in New London, WI.
