Bartow, Dale F.

Dale F. Bartow, age 87, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at the Bethel Home. He was born on July 6, 1926, in Oshkosh, a son of the late Dale O. and Minnie (Post) Bartow. He served his country in the U.S. Navy in WW II and married the former Phyllis M. Dankmeyer on June 6, 1964. Dale had worked for and retired from Rockwell International after 36 years of service. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church and had been a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church and was involved in many groups at St. Vincent's for many years. He greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing in his early years. In September of 2013, Dale was honored with an Old Glory Honor Flight.

He is survived by and his memory will be cherished by three daughters, Susan (James) Bishop of Oshkosh; Cindy (Richard) Lamb of IL; and Karen (Ron) Heffernon of Oshkosh; a son, Kenneth (Linda) Grenz of Iowa; a sister, Rosemary Kresal of Omro. He is further survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Phyllis in 2005; a brother, Frank; a daughter, Marge Jones; two grandchildren, Timothy and Vanessa; a brother-in-law, Paul Kresal.

Funeral services for Dale will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Bethel Home Chapel, 225 N. Eagle Street. Full military honors will follow the service. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday at the Bethel Chapel from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be made in his name to the Bethel Home or to the Old Glory Honor Flight Organization. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the:
