She lived a wonderful life… learning to skate by wearing her snow boots inside of her brother’s skates and being pushed onto the lake. Dancing to big bands in Bala - her jitterbug and clogging are legendary. Mildred’s interests and talents were wide-ranging, and she lived life with love and enthusiasm. She loved a good debate, listening to jazz and swing music, attending hockey games, and saw beauty in the ordinary. Mildred traveled the world, was an accomplished artist, loved to read and learn. Mildred was an active member of service clubs, garden clubs, book clubs, curling clubs, church groups, and volunteered at local art galleries, museums, and art fairs. Most of all, Mildred cherished her family.
