Michelle Zimmerman Obituary
OBERLIN — Michelle P. Zimmerman, 54, of Oberlin, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin.
She was born Dec. 21, 1961, in Oberlin. She was a 1980 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School. Michele was owner and operator of Presti's of Oberlin for more than 30 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oberlin. Michele was an avid fan of Cleveland Indians baseball, enjoyed reading, loving her many dogs and cats that she and Kurt had over the years, and most of all she was loved by her family, friends, and costumers who enjoyed spending time with Michele at the restaurant.
She is survived by her husband, Kurt E. Zimmerman of Oberlin; daughter, Marisa Cabrera of West Palm Beach, Fla.; son, Tony J. Zimmerman of Oberlin; brother, Paul Presti of Oberlin; sister, Mary McCain of Avon Lake; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Presti; and mother, Becky Presti.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4 at the Cowling Funeral Home of Oberlin. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 5 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oberlin, with Fr. Robert J. Cole officiating. There will be a private family burial at New Russia Township Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to https://www.gofundme.com/2hmy4xdr.
